iBook verification
i submittee my book 7 days ago and the verification process appears to be ongoing, is there a way to determine how long this should take?

My understanding is you are wanting to check on the verification process for an iBook submission. I can certainly understand wanting to get your iBook verified as soon as possible!
What I would suggest is to contact the iBooks Publisher Support Team.
Apple provides support to iBooks Store authors and publishers via email and phone:
